Curtis Mathes Grow Lights (CURTIS MATHES) warrants that these products shall be free of defects in material and workmanship for the period specified, with respect to each individual product listing. If there is such a defect, CURTIS MATHES will repair or replace the Product as appropriate and as determined by CURTIS MATHES.
To obtain service under this warranty, the Purchaser must correctly fill out and summit the appropriate warranty information below on this page within 30 days of receipt of purchase. Purchaser must notify CURTIS MATHES of the defect before the warranty expiration date(s). The CURTIS MATHES corporate or distribution office will advise the Purchaser of the nearest service address to which the Purchaser must ship the defective product at his/her own expense. The product should be packed safely, in the original (or comparable) packaging. CURTIS MATHES will pay return shipping costs to the customer once the Product is repaired or replaced. Shipments received not in compliance with the terms of this warranty will be shipped back to Purchaser, at Purchaser’s expense.
This warranty applies only to the hardware specified on this page and used normally within its operating specifications. It does not cover hardware modified in any way, or subject to unusual physical, electrical or environmental stress, including water damage, or acts of nature, or if used in an incorrectly installed manner, or with the original identification marks altered. This warranty is valid for the original Purchaser only.
CURTIS MATHES neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume on its behalf any liability in connection with the sale, installation, service or use of its products. CURTIS MATHES shall not be held responsible for special, consequential or punitive damages of any kind arising out of sale, installation service or use of their products. CURTIS MATHES does not warrant that Product is suitable for any specific purpose. Mounting hardware is not covered by this warranty.
The Purchaser is entitled to free technical support for any CURTIS MATHES product for the warranty period. Technical support includes advice concerning installation and operation of CURTIS MATHES products.
Once received, your repair may take 7-10 days, but is usually completed sooner. You pay shipping to us and we pay for the return shipping costs – the carrier is at our discretion, but will usually be FedEx Home for Continental USA, and US Postal Service for Alaska, Hawaii, US protectorates, and international shipping.
For customs purposes, we list the contents as “Flood Light” and “Repaired Goods”, and for return shipping, we claim the value as $50. You are responsible for any taxes/duties/customs fees at your end. With exception of the shipping label, there are no additional markings on the box(es).
No RMA number is necessary.
- Use the original packing material, or some comparable packing – we are not responsible for damage during shipping
- Wipe the light down before shipping
- Include your order number and correct/current shipping address inside the box
- Send us plant material, whether by accident or on purpose. We appreciate the gesture, but must reject the shipment at first sight of any plant materials
- Send us lights from an infected grow operation. Sometimes we see lights that are infested with spider mites and other pests and these serve to contaminate other customer’s lights and our own operations
- Ask us to claim anything (especially product value) on the customs labels, other than what is listed above
